Levitt at the Falls is excited to share the line-up of local and regional artists who will take the Levitt stage as opening acts for the 2026 season, joining the 50 headlining artists announced last Thursday as part of this summer’s 50 free concerts sponsored by MarketBeat.
Presented through the 2026 Share the Stage program, sponsored by Augustana University, each Levitt concert will begin with a dynamic performance from a small ensemble representing a wide range of musical styles—from country and indie rock to jazz, hip-hop, and Americana. The lineup primarily highlights artists from the Sioux Falls region, alongside performers from communities across South Dakota and select touring musicians from neighboring regional markets. Together, these opening acts showcase both emerging and established talent while celebrating the depth and diversity of the area’s music scene. Concerts take place every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from June 4 through September 12.
“We’re honored to partner with Levitt at the Falls as the Share the Stage sponsor, creating meaningful opportunities for young and emerging artists to perform in a professional setting,” said Pam Homan, Chief Strategy Officer & Executive Vice President at Augustana University. “At Augustana, we believe in nurturing talent, fostering creativity, and supporting the next generation of artists as they find their voice, both on campus and in the community. We’re excited to see these artists take the stage, share their work, and inspire audiences all summer long.”
This summer’s Share the Stage lineup shines a spotlight first on Sioux Falls-area talent, with local favorites like Jesse Christen and The Hegg Brothers returning to the Levitt stage alongside artists making their Levitt debut, including Tyler Von Eye, Freya Jane and the Night Shades, The 1270s, and the Layton Lee Band. The series also highlights artists from communities across South Dakota, including standout youth performances from Eden Judyth of Aberdeen and the Bodhi Linde Blues Trio of Rapid City, bringing fresh energy to the stage. Additional regional highlights include Americana acts The MoonCats and Good Morning Bedlam, both actively touring and gaining momentum on the national circuit, and Kris Lager, a returning Levitt artist and blues rock favorite.
“Our Share the Stage program is all about showcasing the incredible depth and variety of local and regional talent across a wide range of genres,” said Nancy Halverson, Levitt at the Falls President and CEO. “Each season, we’re proud to feature artists at every stage of their journey—from youth performers and first-time Levitt artists to returning favorites and seasoned musicians with decades of touring experience.”
“Between our headlining artists and Share the Stage performers, more than 100 bands take the Levitt stage each summer,” Halverson added. “Having more than half of those artists come from Sioux Falls and communities across South Dakota reflects our on-going commitment to celebrate and elevate the music being created in our unique region.”
Each evening, Levitt concerts begin with a Share the Stage act at 7 p.m., followed by a headlining band at 8 p.m. The evening will feature a variety of food vendors, and drinks available through JJ’s Wine, Spirits, & Cigars.
