Dan Mahar

Opening Act: Thursday, July 29th

dan mahar
Guitar great Dan Mahar was born on the south side of Chicago and grew up inspired by the rock and blues on the Top 40 radio of the 1960s. Mahar learned to write and play by doing it, on the job training at honky tonks, bars, dance halls and ball rooms all throughout the Midwest. In 1991 he signed on to play lead guitar for country star Billy Dean and toured and performed on the Grand Ole Opry, The Jay Leno show, Austin City Limits and a host of state and county fair main stages. Mahar got to know and hang with some of the best guitar players, songwriters and singers in the world. “Nashville is a good place to learn how good you are and how good you can be.”  In 2006, Mahar released Long Stone’s Throw, a collection of blues songs and, in 2012, Someday I’m Gonna Know. reverbnation.com/danmahar
