Where is the Levitt?

The Levitt Shell is located at 504 N. Phillips Avenue in Falls Park West. Check out our location page for maps and details.

Where do I park?

There is plenty of free parking in easy walking distance to Levitt at the Falls. Check out our parking page for suggestions and details.

Do I need a ticket or reservation?

No. All Levitt at the Falls summer concerts are FREE. No tickets or reservations are required.

Is there seating available?

Levitt at the Falls has open, raked lawn seating. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. You are welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Lawn chairs are also available to rent for $5 each.

Can I bring an umbrella?

You are able to bring a handheld umbrella to the lawn for shade protection or in case of rain.  If you are using an umbrella, we ask that you are considerate of the sight lines of your fellow audience members.  Please sit on the sides of the lawn near the sidewalk or towards the back of the lawn to ensure you are not obstructing others’ views. If your umbrella is obstructing views, you may be asked to move to a different area of the lawn.

What sort of music will be featured?

All sorts of music! Levitt at the Falls will feature a diverse range of genres and artists. Local, regional, and national professional artists will all be featured on the stage. All artists will present content appropriate for the whole family.

Can I bring kids to the concerts?

The Levitt welcomes audience members of all ages at every concert. We pride ourselves on creating a family-friendly environment every night of the concert season.

What time do people get there?

The Levitt is a public park, so people are able to arrive whenever they wish.  For evening concerts, food and beverage vendors ready to begin service by 6:00pm.  The music will begin at 7:00pm each night.

For Saturday morning family shows, activities and concessions start at 10:00am with music starting at 10:30am.

 

Can I bring my own food and beverages? Are food and beverage vendors at the concert?

Yes. Audience members are always welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy during the concerts! Outside alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the lawn—alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the concert venue for those 21 and up. Food vendors will be available at each concert.  Food vendors and beverage vendors for evening concerts are available for service at 6:00pm.

Is alcohol permitted?

Outside alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the lawn—alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the concert venue for those 21 and up.

Is smoking allowed on the lawn?

No. A citywide ordinance was enacted in 2017, prohibiting smoking (including electronic smoking devices) at special events in public parks. To provide a safe and healthy event for all participants, Levitt at the Falls is smoke and tobacco-free.

Are there restrooms at the park?

Yes. Levitt at the Falls features a large public restroom facility directly adjacent to the lawn.

Are pets allowed?

Yes. Pets are allowed, provided they are on a leash, under control, and are cleaned up after. Please consider if the concert volume is suitable for your pet’s sensitive ears.

Is the Levitt available for rental during the year?

The Levitt is available to rent for public events outside of the free concert dates. For information on availability and pricing, contact our Director of Operations.

What happens if it rains on concert night?

South Dakota weather is unpredictable, and we may not know if we have to cancel a concert until the very last minute. We will make every effort to have performances as planned, but if there is lightning or other severe weather that would be dangerous to people or damage our equipment, we may need to cancel the concert.

 

How do we know if a concert has been cancelled?

We make every effort to communicate when a concert has been cancelled just as quickly as possible. The first place to check is the Levitt at the Falls website. Postings will also occur on Facebook and Instagram.
