Gabriel Night Shield is one of the most dominant Hip Hop artists in the Midwest. Raised on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, Night Shield made a name for himself for years making music in the underground, however it wasn’t until his debut album “Kataztrophik” that Night Shield stepped firmly into the foreground. In the years since, Night Shield has firmly established himself as a force in the Midwest music scene having won 3 Native American Music Awards and releasing 8 solo albums and a group album. Night Shield was co-host of “Urban Indianz Podcast” and has dabbled in Stand Up Comedy, Modeling and even made his acting debut in the independent film “Valentine Crush” in 2022.
Gabriel Night Shield will be opening for Cocoa Sarai on Saturday, August 18th.

No alcohol will be served tonight out of respect for a request from our Wokini Initiative sponsor as there is a ceremonial opening featuring Native youth singers/drummers and the 9 Tribal flags will be presented by area youth.
