Greta Smith
Opening Act: Saturday, July 22
Greta Smith is a recent college graduate from the University of Sioux Falls with degrees in art, media studies, and English. She loves art of all kinds and took a shine to writing poetry in high school. After buying a ukulele, she branched out into writing music in 2017 and has been honing that skill since. Smith writes on guitar and piano, enveloping her work in metaphors and poetic devices. She is inspired by the spiritual and philosophical undercurrents that she observes in the beauty of humanity and the world she lives in. She is in search of art, beauty, and poetry everywhere. Recently, she has been working on releasing a collection of songs called “claude monet’s eyes,” assembled around the themes of gentleness, vulnerability, and forgiveness. She looks forward to writing and sharing her art with her community in order to cultivate a space where beauty can comfort, restore, and inspire.
