We are pleased to announce the naming of the Levitt dance floor in honor of former Board President Jennifer Kirby. Jennifer led the Levitt capital campaign and served on the Levitt at the Falls board from its founding in 2012 all the way through 2020. She served as Board President for four key years – during the construction of the Levitt and during our inaugural season. She continues to actively volunteer at the Levitt and comes to enjoy many summer concerts with her family. Her commitment to the vision of the Levitt was key to making the dream of free, live music in downtown Sioux Falls a reality.
“Jennifer Kirby’s service was a key driving force in bringing the Levitt to Sioux Falls. Her commitment to making the Sioux Falls community a thriving, healthy, vibrant place to live is incredibly inspiring. The Levitt has been truly blessed to benefit from Jennifer’s extraordinary leadership and philanthropy. The naming of the Levitt dance floor is a small tribute to the joy, connection, and growth Jennifer has helped to foster in the community through her leadership and commitment to the Levitt,” said Executive Director Nancy Halverson.
Each summer, community members will come together on the Jennifer Kirby Dance Floor to connect, relax and enjoy the music during a season of free, outdoor summer concerts.
Come and dance with us on the newly named Jennifer Kirby Dance Floor!
“As Sioux Falls becomes increasingly diverse, we need to look for ways to intentionally strengthen the social fabric of our community. Whether you’ve lived here all your life or moved here last week, everyone is welcome at the Levitt. That is why I’m thrilled to be a supporter of Levitt at the Falls.” – Jennifer Kirby
